What is a dog run?

I’m sure we have discussed this before.
A ‘dog’ is a trailer with wheels at the front as well as at the back.
The wheels at the front are (usually) removeable and are called a dolly
So the second (and third) trailer of a road train is a dog.
A dog run takes the dog to a point – in the case the Northam road train assembly area, 100 km east of Perth – where the road train can be hooked up.
Where the dolly is not removeable a specialized heavy truck, called a block truck, tows the dog. But usually for a dog run I pull the dolly out and tow the trailer with my prime mover (tractor) and the dolly hooked on behind.

I’m pretty sure I asked you what a road train was before, but not a dog trailer. For some reason, this all sounds really complicated. I can picture the first truck having the front wheels removed, but I can’t picture how the third and fourth ones would look, unless it just looks like a bunch of trailers towing trailers.
